Understanding Property Reports

Understand the different types of property reports and how to use them effectively in claims management.

Drodat provides multiple types of reports that help users collect, organize, and present property data throughout the lifecycle of a claim.

Types of reports available:

  • Weather Reports

Provide historical weather data such as wind, hail, and storm activity near the property. These reports help validate potential dates of loss and support claim justification.

  • Permit Reports

Display historical permits associated with a property. These can be used to understand prior work, repairs, or structural changes that may impact a claim.

  • Roof (Dimension) Reports

Generated from measurement tools, these reports include roof outlines, dimensions, pitch, edges, and total area calculations. They are commonly used for estimating materials, assessing damage, and supporting roofing claims.

  • Full Property Reports

Combine multiple data sources into a single downloadable file, including intakes, documents, and other property-related information. These reports are useful for sharing a complete overview of the claim.

  • Inspection Reports

Generated from Drodat inspections, these reports include photos, notes, and structured room-by-room documentation. They are formatted into professional PDFs for clients, carriers, or internal use.

How reports are used:

  • Support claim documentation with verified data

  • Provide evidence for damages and timelines

  • Share structured information with carriers and stakeholders

  • Keep all property-related information centralized and organized

Using these reports together allows adjusters to build a complete and well-documented claim file within Drodat.
